The Scariest Whopper in Town
1. The Brief: This project was developed for the prestigious The Young Ones 2019 (One Show) competition. The brief challenged us to connect Burger King’s delivery service with the visceral experience of watching horror movies late at night, turning “scary moments” into a call to action for a “Last Meal” delivery.
2. The Challenge: The core challenge was to merge real-time cinematic suspense with brand commerciality. As an Art Director, I had to create a visual narrative that captures the essence of classic horror while keeping the product as the hero of the “final scene.”
3. Art Direction & Execution: My creative approach focused on high-end Photo Manipulation and a “Neo-noir” lighting style. I crafted a custom Typography suite inspired by vintage 1970s horror posters to add authenticity. Additionally, I directed the Video and designed the entire Presentation layout, ensuring that the motion and static elements worked in harmony to tell a compelling, bone-chilling story.
4. The Outcome: A comprehensive competition entry that showcases the ability to handle global briefs with a high level of artistic craft. The project stands as a testament to my skills in visual storytelling, motion direction, and strategic art direction within a competitive international framework.
